To customize templates, it is good to learn HTML. (If you want to learn about html, go to W3 School for some very good html tutorials.)
To add in a new paragraph with a title in the sidebar, you will first access the template editor. See post How to add stuff to the sidebar (click “BACK” button to get back to this page).
Just type in any text in suitable places of the template, using Blogger template tutorial: Adding stuff via the template (close new window to get back to this page).
If you want to have a title to your paragraph, you will have to use HTML. Just copy the example in the screenshot above. If you don’t want to go through the hassle, highlight all the text in the box below (click and drag your mouse or click inside the box and press ctrl+A), right-click on your mouse and select “copy” and paste it in the appropriate place in the template.
This post Blogger template tutorial: adding stuff via the template (close new window to get back to this page) will guide you as to which part of the template to paste according to where you want the stuff to be in. Then change the heading and the stuff you want to add between the and . To add stuff in the sidebar, place what you want to add after in the template. To put a new paragraph, type in those codes.

You may be wondering where in the template you should type in the codes. If you want the paragraph to appear just below the profile, then just follow the screenshot at the top left corner of this post. PS. You have to do this in the post editor. To access the post editor, sign into Dashboard, select the blog, click the TEMPLATE tab, and the post editor will open.
